Dan Solomon, MD

Dr. Solomon is an orthopedic surgeon and native of Marin County. He specializes in sports medicine and developed his specialty while serving as director of Sports Medicine, Knee and Shoulder Surgery at the Naval Medical Center San Diego where served as an orthopedic consultant to SEAL teams 1,3,5,7 and BUDs. Dr. Solomon serves on numerous professional committees and has authored over 45 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. He volunteers as a team physician for USA Swimming and on the Board of Directors for the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine.

Ed LeCara, PhD, DC, MBA, ATC, CSCS

Dr. LeCara received his PhD in 2013 with research in the field of the morphology and function of the lumbar multifidus muscle. He served as the science and medical consultant for 24 Hour Fitness corporate offices in San Ramon, CA providing educating and writing programs for their fitness division. He additionally consults with human resources on employee benefits and wellness programs, and provides onsite medical treatment at their corporate office.  Le Cara is board certified in both sports medicine and rehabilitation and treats patients at the Veterans Administration Northern California Health Care System in Martinez, CA.

In 2015 he received his MBA from St. Mary’s College.

Karen Nugent, PT, CHT

Karen is a Licensed Physical Therapist, Certified Hand Therapist, Certified Integrative Manual Therapist and founder of The Hand & Physical Therapy Center of Marin. She has served as an instructor for the Neuroorthopedic Institute and Dialogues in Contemporary Rehabilitation and is a nationally recognized speaker for the American Physical Therapy Association and American Society of Hand Therapists. She additionally served on the board of the Hand Rehabilitation Section of the American Physical Therapy Association and has been published in the Journal of Hand Surgery, Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Clinics of North America and the Atlas of Clinical Reconstructive Microsurgery. Karen also developed ergonomic training programs and conducted individual workstation assessments for high profile corporate clients throughout the Bay Area.

 

Deed Harrison, DC

[MEDLINE LOOKUP] graduated from Life-West Chiropractic College in 1996. He is a world renown chiropractic researcher, educator, and clinician. Dr. Harrison has developed and researched original spinal rehabilitation procedures and has lectured to thousands of Chiropractors and other Physicians in over 400 educational conferences around the world. He has authored approximately 100 peer-reviewed spine related publications, 4 spine textbooks, and presented at numerous peer-reviewed conference proceedings. He is a highly respected chiropractor, researcher, and educator in today’s profession.

Dr. Harrison is or has been a manuscript reviewer for several peer-reviewed Spine journals including: Spine, Clinical Biomechanics, Clinical Anatomy, Archives of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, the European Spine Journal, BMC Complimentary Alternative Medicine, and BMC Musculo-Skeletal Disorders.  Additionally, Dr. Harrison is a member to the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine (ISSLS), is a former International Chiropractors Association’s (ICA) Nevada State Assembly Representative member, and he formerly held a position on the Chiropractic Physicians Board of Nevada.Dr. Harrison the acting Chair of the PCCRP Chiropractic Radiography Guidelines, and is a panel contributing member to two Chiropractic treatment guidelines (ICA Best Practices and ICAC Whiplash Guidelines).

He is the President / CEO of Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP®)Technique & Seminars, is the President of CBP NonProfit, Inc.–a spinal research foundation, and is the Editor-In-Chief of the American Journal of Clinical Chiropractic.  Dr. Harrison is the supervising / senior Chiropractor at the ‘Ideal Spine Health Center’ in Eagle, Idaho.

David Bertone, DPT

Dr. David Bertone is a 1988 graduate of New York University’s physical therapy program and received his Board Certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2005. In 2010, he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the Evidence in Motion Institute of Health Professions. Throughout his extensive 25-year career, Dr. Bertone has worked in many different practice environments but always focused on orthopedic rehabilitation. In 2008, he opened db Orthopedic Physical Therapy, PC to fulfill his desire to provide patients a unique, solo practice offering continuous and optimal evidence-based care. This approach utilizes the most up-to-date research to design a highly effective patient rehabilitation therapy program. Dr. Bertone is a renowned and sought after expert in the practice of orthopedic physical therapy, specializing in the most current rehabilitation strategies. He is currently a member of the NJ Board of Physical Therapy Examiners appointed by Governor Chris Christie to assist in regulating the practice of physical therapy. He was the past president of the New Jersey Society of Independent Physical Therapists where he was an advocate for the independent practice of physical therapy in New Jersey. In 2013, he became an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey teaching in the Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences.  He will be teaching the Doctoral Physical Therapy students about Concussion Management.

Stu Wilson, MSPT

Stu graduated from Colorado State University with a BS in Exercise Sport Science, emphasis on Sports Medicine, and Human Anatomy, Neurobiology. He went on to earn his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Regis University in Denver, CO. He is co-owner of Panther Physical Therapy where he specializes in performing high-end gait and running analysis, as well as developing medical bike fit programs. Stuart has consulted for USA Triathlon, was the lead PT for the Colorado Ballet, and has gained a respectful reputation as a running and cycling expert. He is currently an affiliate faculty member for Regis University and is assisting with a research study on running. He is also one of the lead presenters for Rock Tape. He has presented on many topics including taping, skiing, running, cycling, functional medicine, exercise as medicine, injury prevention, custom orthotics, and ergonomics.
